Tokoji and Friends

Tokoji and his friends Globby and Dolly in Long Beach, Washington. They didn't see the tide come in, lost their balance, got their clothes wet, but had a good laugh in the end.

Portland Good Eats

Here's just a small selection of some awesome food I had in Portland. From top to bottom, Los Gorditos II (all vegan taqueria) located just a few steps from Grass Hut, Voodoo Doughnut's glazed vegan doughnut, Bwana's homemade vegan waffles.

Dinosaur Fish

We visited Bonneville Hatchery yesterday to see their Sturgeon pond. Though we didn't get t view the largest of their sturgeon (the water was a little murky), we did get to see several pretty big ones. These fish are amazing, with features unlike any others. Thanks to Justin, our guide from Grass Hut.

Jake The Alligator Man

Marsh's Free Museum in Long Beach, Washington is half cheesy gift shop, and half stuffed animal museum. Their claim to fame is an alligator man named Jake. Jake is actually a lot smaller than a man, more like a small boy, his skin dried black from age. "I Brake for Jake" bumper stickers, pencils, and t-shirts were just a few of the souvenirs available.

Antique Shopping

Bwana took us to an antique show yesterday. It was small, but I managed to find a few cheap things. Old American character toys.

Gargamel Gang Opening

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the opening reception tonight, and thanks to Rick Widmayer of the Screen Door for cooking up some great food for the event. We had an awesome time. The show will be up for the entire month of January. If you're not a local, check out the Grass Hut Store to view or purchase pieces.

Gargamel Gang Preview

The show is looking really good, with hand made shelving made of wood, logs, and driftwood. The figures are displayed with moss and plants from today's hike. In addition to the custom painted figures, there are several paintings by Chanmen and Katope, as well as photographs. Here are a few figures of mine, mini and standard Zagorans, Matango, and Mini Rokuron.

Waterfalls

Before setting up the Gargamel Gang show today, we were able to take a short hike to see some waterfalls. We also got to collect some moss and fern along the way. Thanks to Justin from Grass Hut for being our guide.

Gargamel Gang At Grass Hut

The Gargamel Gang show opens this Friday at Grass Hut in Portland. New artwork by Chanmen, Katope, Kiyoka and Naoya Ikeda, and myself. A new Tokoji Seijin release as well as a new Gargamel sculpt. I can't believe it's already time. Still have a little bit more to do before we leave on Wednesday. I'm pretty excited as I haven't visited Portland since I was a little kid. The opening is from 6-9 PM. Hope to see some of you there.
