Happy Holidays!

Time Off

The holidays are coming, and that means the start of my 10 day vacation. The New Year is the biggest holiday here in Japan, and while most people will be returning home to celebrate with their families, I'll be here at home. In addition to painting and a few late night movies, I'll be catching up on some reading and watching DVDs, some old and some new. A lot of relaxing, a lot of late nights, coffee and tea, waking up late, sleep, and rest. Maybe a walk in the park and a visit to Thrash Out to countdown the new year too. OK, here we go...

Gargamel Year-End Party (Part 2)

2007 proved to be an awesome year for Gargamel, with a very successful showing at the San Diego Comic Con, collaboration projects with Tim Biskup, Bwana Spoons, and Martin Ontiveros, not to mention clear standard Zagoran, mini airplane and tank Zagoran with helmet, the Pocket Kaiju series, clear glow vinyl, more. And if you thought that was cool, just wait until next year. Keep on rockin' Gargamel!

Gargamel Year-End Party (Part 1)

This year, Gargamel celebrated the year-end on a "yakatabune" or a Japanese style dinner cruise boat. You can see some yakatabune in the photo in my previous Thursday Night Odaiba post. The boat took us down the Sumida River to Tokyo Bay, where we anchored and hung out for a while. The night view was pretty spectacular, a lot of bridges along the river were lit up, as well as Tokyo Tower, the Rainbow Bridge, and Odaiba. Lots of food, lots of drink, and lots of fun.
