Kagetsu, a popular ramen chain, has been releasing a special vegan ramen every spring for the past couple years. This year's version is called Nana Rosso, Italian style with cabbage and onions, and topped with tomato and basil. Tasty.
Here's just a small selection of some awesome food I had in Portland. From top to bottom, Los Gorditos II (all vegan taqueria) located just a few steps from Grass Hut, Voodoo Doughnut's glazed vegan doughnut, Bwana's homemade vegan waffles.
Today I had the best meal of this trip, a (fake) chicken sandwich and fries from Native Foods in Westwood. For those who aren't familiar, Native Foods is a vegan restaurant chain with a couple of shops in California. The place is pretty small, but the food is awesome.
